Sometimes deciding on a gift can be time consuming and well, a little daunting ! Why not purchase a gift certificate instead? Gift certificates are available at the store in five dollar increments.
Please note that all gift certificates do not have expiry dates.

Knife sharpening service is available at the store for all knives, straight edge or serrated. Knife repair is also available. All garden tools, tools with a straight edge may be sharpened.

The Happy Cooker has been proudly serving Winnipeg in all things kitchen related since 1973. We have an extensive product knowledge about all of our kitchenware items available to you before during and post purchase.
Remember the days when you could make a purchase over an extended period? At The Happy Cooker we are happy to provide a lay-away service if you wish to spread your payments over a period of time.
Should you change your mind or not meet the three month period, you will receive a credit note in store for the amount paid to date. No cash refund. The credit note will have a validity period of 2 years from the date of the initial deposit.
Can’t get to the store right away? Call us at the store and we will happily reserve an item in stock for a 24 hour period. Extensions possible with a phone call.
We are happy to provide an exchange or credit note provided a product is returned in its original packaging with the original store receipt. Products without packaging may not be accepted for return. Credit notes are valid for 2 (two) years from date of issue.
Whilst we do not have a definitive return period, we do ask that a reasonable time frame be considered. We wish to remain flexible due to the planning required for registry, birthday, Christmas gifts etc.. Please always ask the staff for a gift receipt.
Sale or Clearance items are final.
On the first Wednesday of each month we are happy to offer a 10% discount to our senior community. Seniors 65 years and over.
The Happy Cooker ships to anywhere. We charge the Canada Post rate and do not charge handling fees.
Can’t find a particular product? Let us do the work for you and see if we can find it and order it for you. Special orders which are not a part of our regular stock will require a deposit of 50% prior to ordering. Non stock items ordered are final sale.
Culinary students receive a 20% discount year round. Valid I.D. required.
